Were hiring Lead Data Engineer for our Point of Care site in Haifa!GE HealthCare is a global leader in medical technology and digital solutions innovation. Our technology helps streamline workflows automate manual tasks and assists physicians via clinical decision support.
We are seeking an exceptional Lead Data Engineer to join our Point of Care and Handheld Ultrasound Algorithm team at our Haifa site. The successful candidate will design and develop and maintain innovative Data Management and Dev Ops solutions tailored for modern AI needs solutions in a fastgrowing medical ultrasound domain.

Responsibilities:
Lead the definition development and maintenance of database solutions
Establish data engineering best practices and standards
Lead and prioritize data team tasks
Drive support and optimization of data processes and automations
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members
Support and optimize data processes and automations
Data preparation and analysis for regulatory submissions
Translate product and clinical needs to a data architecture
Leading crossteam data workflow with Algo Clinical Verification and Product teams
Requirements:
Must:
5 years of handson experience in data management and curation with Python Excel
Excellent organizational interpersonal and leadership skills
Indepth knowledge of SQL and query optimizations
Experience working with file formats such as JSON CSV Parquet FHIR DICOM
Experience with Dataframebased libraries (Pandas Polars PySpark)
Experience with writing and overseeing unit component integration and endtoend tests
Strong team player with proven ability to build and lead highperforming teams
Strong communication skills
Advantage:
Leadership experience strong advantage
Handson experience with cloud providers (Such as AWS/GCP/Azure)
Working with technologies such as AWS Lambda S3 Athena API Gateway DynamoDB
Working with orchestrators such as AWS Step Functions Event Bridge SQS/SNS Kinesis or Kafka
Knowledge of Docker CI/CD processes and infrastructure as code tools (e.g. AWS CloudFormation Terraform CDK)
Background in medicine / medical industry and experience with standard medical terminologies such as UMLS
