Salary:
Basic Function:
Manage the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) department to benefit international students scholars and their dependents. Supervise staff and provide direction with international student and scholar issues. Ensure compliance with Develop programming for international students and scholars that provides orientation to the university surrounding community and the United States. Reports to Vice President the Office of Global Education (OGE) or designated supervisor.

Duties/essential functions may include but not be limited to the following:
Provide leadership and direction for all assigned functional areas of the department including enforcing policies and procedures managing personnel and setting goals.
Serve as Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO) as assigned.
Represent the university international students scholars and their dependents to various state and federal government agencies such as U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Student and Exchange Visitor Program and the Social Security Administration.
Manage administrative instructional operational and technological aspects of ISSS department including the International Student and Scholar database to interface with the KSU Student Information System and the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Systems may include TerraDotta Banner Advising platforms and other internal platforms.
Monitor developments in immigration policies procedures and regulations on a daily basis to ensure that international students scholars and their dependents and the university understand and comply with current state and federal regulations.
Manage advising and counseling services for international students scholars and dependents regarding immigration issues early alerts intercultural financial academic and personal issues/concerns.
Oversee the distribution of ISSS scholarships and other sources of financial assistance. Collaborate with other administrators to assist international students and scholars during crisis situations.
Oversee the development and delivery of cultural educational and immigrationrelated programming for international students scholars and their dependents. Strengthen outreach efforts to enhance campus and community engagement fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Develop and manage the financial budget for ISSS; oversee effective and efficient use of funds associated with the International Student Activity Fee index.
Serve and chair various committees as assigned.
Prepare various reports proposals and other written documents.
Travel domestically or internationally as requested by Vice President for Global Education.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree in a relevant field. Five years of progressively responsible administrative experience in international student and scholar Services.
Experience serving as Designated School Official (DSO) Responsible Officer (RO/ARO).
Per Department of Homeland Security regulations must hold US citizenship or legal permanent residency (Green Card). Must possess practical experience with immigration laws relative to F1 F2 J1 and J2 visas. Must be able to travel and to work nontraditional hours including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications if applicable:
Experience serving as Principal Designated School Official.
Formal training and certification by NAFSA/Association of International Educators or the ability to complete formal training and attain certification within six months of hire.
Professional international education experience. Experience studying or working in another country.
