DescriptionThe Project Manager Supply Chain is an integral part of supporting the successful execution of supply chain projects with a focus on managing vendor relationships and scope for major outsourced fabrications on the Polar program. This role is critical to ensuring project alignment across functions and acts as a central point of coordination between Supply Chain Engineering Planning and Production teams. The successful candidate will bring a solid foundation in technical project management with a proven ability to drive timelines and proactively resolve issues to avoid production delays. Prior experience in shipbuilding or heavy industry is essential.
Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. The employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
What youll do
Project Management
- Lead the coordination and execution of supply chain projects ensuring alignment with overall program goals.
- Develop and maintain project schedules track milestones and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor project costs prepare budgets and track expenses to ensure adherence to financial objectives.
- Identify assess and mitigate risks associated with the project implementing contingency plans as necessary.
- Generate and present detailed project reports highlighting progress variances and corrective actions to stakeholders and senior management.
- Conduct regular site visits to vendor locations to validate progress resolve issues and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Work closely with vendors to address quality concerns implement improvements and ensure consistency in deliverables.
- Own the daily engagement with Production Engineering and Supply Chain to track performance and address emergent issues as and when they transpire.
- Support all inputs to VSY Internal and External reviews including but not limited to Weekly Program Reviews Monthly Program Reviews and Customer Contract Reviews.
Supply Chain Management
- Manage subcontractor relationships including performance monitoring and issue resolution.
- Review milestone payments ensuring that contract deliverables and conditions are met before authorizing payments.
- Develop review and implement contractual documents change orders and related materials in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all deliverables meet projectspecific requirements and standards.
- Conduct vendor assessments and explore potential new sourcing options to support future project needs.
Collaboration And Communication
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams (engineering planning estimating quality and operations) and external vendors to facilitate project success.
- Organize regular project review meetings and present updates on cost schedule quality and risks management.
- Document and track commitments and action items identified during meetings ensuring timely resolution.
What youll bring
- Bachelors degree in engineering or business. Diplomas may be accepted with sufficient employment experience.
- 57 years of professional experience in Project Management Project Engineering SCM shipbuilding manufacturing or construction industry with demonstrated increased levels of responsibility.
- Excellent knowledge of program management and project management skills.
- General knowledge of contracting in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong customer service focus with an ability to build and sustain strong working relationships.
- Strong presentation skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to coordinate significant resources in support of meeting program or project objectives.
- Strong technical skills with proven understanding of largescale construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of program performance metrics includes the ability to identify key metrics and develop comprehensive performance reports.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) scheduling systems and resource planning techniques.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent digital literacy including Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
- Selfmotivated with an ability to work with limited direction.
- Positive goaloriented individual with a sense of urgency.
- Sets high standards and can manage both detail as well as big picture issues.

The estimated salary for this position is $112500 $137500. In determining final salary Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidates skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Companys sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
