Ruah is proud to be developing the Karlup Service a holistic wraparound recoverybased model aimed at supporting women and children to heal from family and domestic violence (FDV). The Karlup Service will provide a range of offerings from the Angela Wright Bennett Centre (AWBC) a stateoftheart purposebuilt facility in Perths CBD.
Women with disability not only experience higher rates of FDV than women without disability but also face greater challenges in accessing support services. The Karlup Service will support women with disability who have experienced FDV by ensuring they are able to fully benefit from the Karlup Service offerings and connecting them with external services and supports to ensure they have the best possible chance of successfully reestablishing independent lives that are free from violence.
Reporting to and supported by the Team Lead the Disability Support Coordinator will support clients with disability by ensuring their ease of access to Karlup Service offerings assisting them to navigate systems that may provide financial support to them active referrals to external agencies and advocacy.
This is a parttime permanent position working 0.5 FTE.
