Job Description

The General Manager will be fully responsible for the business unit which includes financial performance operations and sales. He/she will provide leadership in formulating and implementing sustainable profitable growth strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

  • Oversee Division Operations: Lead and coordinate all aspects of the chiller and condenser retubing division including field execution shop activities and support services.
  • Support Operational Readiness: Ensure proper manpower and equipment allocation to meet job site and project demands with a focus on turnaround and scheduled outage efficiency.
  • Project Oversight: Directly manage and support Project Managers handling retubing and related heat exchanger services ensuring timely and highquality project execution.
  • Financial Leadership: Develop track and achieve fiscal budgets; monitor profit and loss performance with emphasis on cost control and job profitability.
  • Expenditure Oversight: Review and approve all division expenditures including tooling consumables and contractor services.
  • Talent Management: Drive employee retention and development through performance reviews technical training programs and clear career progression paths especially for field technicians and supervisors.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract review and negotiation processes to ensure favorable terms and scope clarity for major retubing projects.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure full compliance with SOX OSHA ASME and internal policies especially related to pressure vessel work confined space entry.
  • Maintain accurate business records including job cost tracking vendor files and customer history related to heat exchanger service work.
  • Policy Enforcement: Implement companywide policies while adapting them to support field execution in demanding environments.
  • Safety Accountability: Take full responsibility for the divisions safety performance including incident prevention training compliance and corrective actions.
  • P&L and Financial Controls: Ensure strong financial controls timely billing cash flow forecasting and management of division.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in a General Management role is preferred.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to mitigate emotional customer and employee situations.
  • Must have strong customer relation skills.
  • In depth knowledge of Industrial Chillers by OEM brands such as Trane York and Carrier.
  • Understanding of ASME BPVC Sec. VIII Div.1 repair and construction requirements.
  • Familiarity with heat exchanger tube manufacturing and maintenance procedures.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.

Salary Range is 140k160k
