Job Description

Administrative Specialist 1

Location:Jasper AL
Contract: 1 Year

Client Alabama Power

Job Summary

This position provides a comprehensive range of administrative clerical and paralegal support to the team. The role includes frontdesk reception duties calendar management document handling travel coordination timekeeping and executivelevel support. The ideal candidate is a career administrative professional with exceptional organizational skills strong communication abilities and the capacity to operate independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as receptionist greeting visitors and handling incoming calls during normal business hours.

  • Perform timekeeping expense account processing and travel arrangements.

  • Schedule meetings manage calendars and coordinate logistics for internal and external appointments.

  • Maintain and organize filing systems both electronic and physical; copy scan and archive documents.

  • Create edit and proofread a wide range of documents reports and correspondence.

  • Order and maintain office supplies.

  • Provide executive phone coverage and support senior staff as needed.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Extensive experience in an administrative support role required.

  • Career administrative professionals strongly encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint.

  • Strong typing document production and proofreading skills.

Organizational & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities and minimal supervision.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interact with employees and clients at all organizational levels.

  • Demonstrated teamwork with the ability to also work independently.
