Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has partnered with a midsized manufacturing company near Spring Grove/Gettysburg PA thats searching for a Staff Accountant.
This role will be an onsite position in the office but with flexibility as needed.
Client would be open to either a recent graduate with an accounting degree or someone with 13 years of experience coming out of public accounting or another staff accountant role.
Candidate will be responsible for:
- Assist in preparing the General Ledger for monthend quarterend and year end close
- Preparing journal entries
- Audit support as requested from Controller CFO and Audit firm
- Bank account and credit card reconciliations
- Support company compliance activities as requested from leadership
- Assist with integration activities from acquired companies
- Ad hoc financial analysis via Microsoft Excel
- Other duties as assigned
Candidate should have the following background:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputable 4year college
- 05 years of accounting experience either in corporate accounting or public accounting
- Strong Microsoft experience Excel Word Powerpoint etc.
- Problemsolving ability to take care of nonstandard issues
- Great communication skills both verbal and written to communicate effectively both internally and externally to the company and customers
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Ability to accept training from leadership
