Job Description
About Us:
For over 130 years Reed Construction a familyowned construction firm has been at the forefront of the industry in Chicago and we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead highimpact commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This project leadership role is responsible for driving project success cultivating strong client relationships and ensuring operational excellence across cost quality and schedule. Youll serve as a key member of the OwnerArchitectContractor team and play a vital role in delivering extraordinary results.
What Youll Do:
- Oversee the full project lifecyclefrom conceptual estimating and lump sum/GMP development to final delivery.
- Lead preconstruction and construction execution with a sharp eye on budget timeline and quality.
- Develop negotiate and manage contracts scopes of work and purchase orders with clarity and precision.
- Drive project profitability through rigorous cost controls change order management and margin forecasting.
- Facilitate project communication and accountability across all stakeholdersinternal and external.
- Coordinate subcontractor/vendor selection bidding and contract awards.
- Lead OAC meetings set agendas and ensure alignment across project partners.
- Build lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors by consistently going above and beyond.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects demonstrating technical expertise and strong field awareness.
What You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8 years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
- BIM coordination pull planning and LEAN construction experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Procore Timberline Microsoft Project and related tools.
- Strong leadership negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead project teams mitigate risks and drive highquality outcomes.
