Job Description

Ergon West Virginia Inc. in Newell WV has an opening for a Learning and Development Supervisor.

The Learning & Development Supervisor provides leadership mentorship direction and support to ensure the team facilitates learning and the development of each employee. This position will be instrumental in promoting purposeful growth and continuous improvement through employee education and development.

Learning and Development Supervisor Duties:

  • Support and serve employees by fostering purposeful growth promoting a culture of care facilitating continual improvement and being a passionate advocate for organizational betterment.
  • Work to create and maintain a shared vision shared values and an environment where employees can be fully involved in achieving departmental and company goals or objectives.
  • Promote the advancement of our employee education and development programs processes and systems to foster purposeful growth.
  • Oversee all activities related to the education and development of both newhire and existing employees.
  • Serve as the administrator of the sites education records database or learning management system (LMS).
  • Assist all departments in identifying and implementing all learning and development needs to improve employee knowledge skills and performance.
  • Conduct assessments of our learning and development programs processes and systems to identify strengths weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in developing and analyzing various key performance indicators that drive continuous improvement of the sites learning and development programs processes and systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule educational courses and employee development activities as needed.

Learning and Development Supervisor Requirements:

  • High levels of Trust Humility Character Integrity Resolve and Respect
  • Requires a selfmotivated person that pays attention to details with excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in applicable field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in an educationrelated position is desirable.
  • Industrial in a refinery chemical plant or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Well versed in learning and development needs assessments process and program development and methods and measures of adult learning.
  • Computer experience in Outlook Word Excel and database education programs (i.e. SAP SuccessFactors)
  • Organized and capable of planning scheduling and prioritizing learning and development activities.
  • Proven leaders capable of building an innovative team and driving organizational change.
