Job Title:Quality Control Inspector
Location:Memphis Area (Onsite)
Compensation:$30$35 per hour
Schedule:MondayFriday approximately 6:00 AM 4:30 PM (4550 hours/week)
Relocation Package Available
About the Opportunity:
An established and growing construction and metal fabrication firm is seeking aQuality Control Inspectorwith a strong background in structural steel. This is a handson bootsontheground role best suited for candidates who enjoy detailed inspections working closely with production teams and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect fabricated steel components to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards
- Interpret and review blueprints shop drawings and specifications
- Conduct material and weld inspections using nondestructive testing methods
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain compliance records
- Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to identify and resolve quality issues
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) standards
Required Qualifications:
- ActiveCertified Welding Inspector (CWI)certification
- Solid understanding ofstructural steelfabrication and assembly
- Proficiency inMIG and TIGwelding inspection
- Experience reading and interpreting technical blueprints and specifications
- Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in theconstruction or structural steelindustry
- Familiarity withAISC standardsand industry best practices
