Description

Emersons Discrete Automation business is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our team for a handson learning experience in the design development and support of industrial solutions. The intern will assist in a variety of engineering tasks.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Assist with variousresearch testing and evaluations
  • Assist in creating and updating engineering documentation including CAD drawings specifications and BOMs.
  • Conduct research gather data and perform analysis to assist with product improvement initiatives
  • Assist in creating and updating engineering documentation including CAD drawings specifications and BOMs.
  • Perform basic assembly measurement and testing under supervision.
  • Work crossfunctionally with teams to support engineering projects.
  • Present findings and progress updates to the engineering team as required.

Who You Are:

You are someone who works collaboratively in a group environment and demonstrates strong problemsolving skills. You take initiative can be resourceful and can make progress on work independently. You take ownership of your goals regularly checkin and ask questions in a timely manner to ensure success of project and task

For this Role You Will Need:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field).
  • Strong academic background with coursework relevant to mechanical systems or automation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g. Creo SolidWorks AutoCAD) is a plus.
