Job Description
Electrical Drafter II
Location: Greenwood Village CO
CLP Engineering (CLPE) is a fullservice electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years experience in electrical utility system ownership upgrades maintenance and operations through our sister company City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investorowned municipal cooperative government industrial and commercial customers.
CLPE is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Electrical Drafter II to join the engineering team at our corporate location. Local drafting candidates strongly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop professional AutoCAD drawings from engineering sketches and concepts.
- Organize and put together design drawing submittals and construction drawing packages.
- Will use CAD software to update drawings for electrical systems including high voltage utility substations switching stations and commercial/industrial power distribution systems.
- Update asbuilt AutoCAD drawings per engineers redlines.
- Develop and maintain AutoCAD lisp routines to automate drafting processes.
- Assist with maintaining/developing CLP Engineering CADD standards.
- Keep up to date with the latest CADD technology developments and utilize to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Work closely as an active Team Member with Engineers and other Departments on project assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree or Certification in AutoCAD Drafting and Design or related field from an accredited college.
- Minimum of two (2) years electrical drafting experience.
- Basic understanding of medium voltage electrical substations and distribution system configurations and functions.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products: Outlook Word Excel.
- Utility electrical drafting and design experience a plus.
- Must have excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Must be a team player who is able to work with various partners from start to finish.
Other Requirements:
- You must be a U.S. citizen.
- You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- Valid drivers license required.

- We offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance dental insurance life insurance 401k with company contribution paid time off and paid holidays.
- Salary range: $30.00 $33.00/hour based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
