The AUKUS Submarines and Industrial Base Group (ASIG) within the Sea Land Air Division provides timely objective analytic assessments that integrate technical operational programmatic policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities which includes the Columbiaclass SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navys top acquisition priority) the Virginiaclass SSN program and the new SSNX program (developing the next generation attack submarine) to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPAs decades of support to the SSBN force as well as supporting oversight of cuttingedge attack submarine construction assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are highprofile major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition.
Responsibilities
The Program Analyst will provide support to the NAVSEA AUKUS program focusing on program support to undersea platform acquisition. Responsibilities will include strategic planning and coordination of program wide activities; supporting development of integrated plans supporting fleet integration with AUKUS program and coordinating integrated schedule and risk analysis.
This position is located in Alexandria VA with some opportunity to travel to partner and industry stakeholder locations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work onsite in Alexandria VA up to full time depending upon client needs
- Bachelors degree
- 7 years professional experience
- 5 years experience with DoD
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint to communicate to decision makers
- Current DoD security clearance minimum Secret with the ability to maintain it throughout employment
Additional Qualifications Desired but not required:
- Service onboard a US submarine as a junior officer
- Experience with Team Submarine and NAVSEA
- Experience/knowledge of Navy acquisition program office organizations and processes
- Experience working with international partners
