Job Description
We are a mission driven organization dedicated to serving highquality sustainable and delicious food while providing outstanding customer service. Grand Central Bakery is now seeking a Cafe Shift Lead to join our beautiful cafe. Come join our team!
The Cafe Shift Leads role is an integral part of the efficient enthusiastic team that makes Grand Central Bakerys vibrant cafes such wonderful spaces. We are looking for someone who is passionate about serving delicious food and drink to a community of loyal customers. They are expected to regularly and efficiently work any station as needed including working on the sandwich bar during a rush and frequently serves as Person In Charge (PIC).
Location: Eastlake Cafe 198 E Blaine St Seattle WA 98102
Rate of Pay: $21.27 per hour plus tips.
- Estimated tip average is $7.00 $9.00 per hour.
Schedule: Fulltime. 45 shifts each week. The ability to work weekends and holidays is required along with having schedule flexibility.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read write and speak English required
- Basic math skills required
- Maintains food handlers card new hires are expected to have a valid card by their first date of work
- Experience with pointofsale systems preferred
- 1 year(s) experience in food service preferred
- Must display professionalism and personality with customers
Physical requirements include but are not limited to:
- Standing for 100% of the shift.
- Working in a loud environment with frequent interruptions.
- Lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs.
- Working in a building containing a bakery and is constantly exposed to wheat flour dust and other grain dusts (rye corn oat).
