Job Description

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Provide endtoend application and infrastructure service delivery for the successful business operations of the firm.
- Execute policies and procedures that ensure Engineering and Operational stability and availability.
- Monitor production environments for anomalies address issues and drive evolution of utilization of standard observability tools.
- Escalate and communicate issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholders actively participating from incident resolution to service restoration.
- Lead incident problem and change management in support of full stack technology systems applications or infrastructure
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification onsoftware engineeringconcepts and 3 years applied experience
- Certified software engineering professional with 8 years applied experience.
- Proficiency on AWS Cloud Platform with system design application/tools/interface/modules development testing problem solving and operational stability.
- Handson infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform Helm chart.
- Design deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters across various environments (onpremises AWS cloud hybrid) as a Kubernetes platform Engineer.
- Experience with K8s services deployments failover mechanism networking security polices including CNI plugins ingress controllers and service meshes.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Terraform Python Shell scripting technologies.
- Handson infrastructure as code tools Terraform Helm chart independently design build test and deploy the code.
- Handson experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jules / Spinnaker / Jenkins integration
- Ability to set up monitoring logging and alerting for Kubernetes clusters using Grafana Prometheus and Splunk
- Should have strong SQL skills; PostgreSQL AWS RDS Aurora Teradata is preference but experience in any other RDBMS technology would suffice
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern frontend technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
