The Point of Sale teams mission is to empower collectible card game retailers with innovative and reliable Point of Sale solutions that streamline sales processes and enhance the customer experience. We are dedicated to developing technology that integrates seamlessly with TCGplayers marketplace enabling sellers to efficiently manage inventory process transactions and grow their businesses. By leveraging cuttingedge technology and maintaining a customercentric approach we aim to support the vibrant community of trading card enthusiasts and retailers. The Software Engineering Manager II role will be responsible for building two Engineering teams that will oversee the development of this nextgeneration technology. If you are an experienced leader looking to build and grow teams while working on mission critical projects in a fun industry this position may be right for you.
What you will accomplish:
Providing leadership and management to software engineering teams to create scalable software solutions for the TCGplayer platform
Directing mentoring and delegating work to software engineering managers and engineers across multiple teams to ensure ontime delivery of software
Assisting the CTO the Director of Engineering and other company leaders with research and suggestions for technical direction to incorporate into general business strategies
Researching and developing recommendations for revising or adopting technical practices including the adoption of new tools or software to assist in the efficient delivery of our technical objectives
Leading and coordinating agile development and related methodologies
Leading projects and acting as a liaison with PMO elements
What you will bring:
Bachelors degree in comparable field or seven years of practical coding experience
At least seven years of leadership experience (task lead tech lead etc.)
At least three years of proven success leading managing and hiring teams of talented engineers
At least three years of project management experience
Proven track record of overseeing complex largescale software development initiatives from concept to production release
Deep understanding of software development best practices and code quality standards on largescale highvolume sites using .NET technologies
Full capabilities to develop project schedules for major projects
