The salary scale for NSCC Faculty is based on steps that range from $74170.79 $102223.12. New Faculty may receive up to a maximum of five steps for relevant occupational experience and may receive up to an additional four steps for fulltime equivalent years of instructional experience (instructional experience is defined as teaching postsecondary). The maximum a new Faculty can expect to receive is nine steps or $95478.45.
As a member of the School of Health and Human Services faculty team you will:
Provide both theoretical and practical instruction in the Practical Nursing program and other programs within the School of Health and Human Services.
Play a critical role in clinical coordination supervision and evaluation at various clinical sites ensuring high standards of care as part of the teaching assignment which will include all duties associated with being a nurse (i.e. longer shifts lifting etc.).

As a condition of employment Faculty at NSCC must complete a parttime adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status all probationary full or parttime Faculty of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term fulltime Faculty whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.
As a condition of employment successful applicants are required to provide a record of their updated immunizations along with a Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search (CRC/VSS) to Human Resources before starting employment. Any cost incurred in obtaining these will be at the applicants expense. Candidates will not be discriminated against on the basis of their background check.
