About the role:

Reporting to the Manager Operations Support the Smile Squad Claims and Client Care Officer supports the achievement of statewide key performance indicators business goals and objectives as they relate to DHSVs Strategic Plan.

This position plays a pivotal role in providing administrative support across Smile Squad a Victorian Government funded program which will provide all Victorian government primary specialist and secondary school students with free dental care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Submitting Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) claims to Medicare.
  • Working with Finance to reconcile CDBS topup payments to community dental agencies.
  • Coordinating the reconciliation/adjustment of Medicare payments in Smile Squad Titanium with the community dental agencies.
  • Actioning the processes relating to patient registration consent forms and Medicare CDBS claiming.
  • Correct errors in Smile Squad Titanium database on behalf of community dental agencies.
  • Process client details accurately in the electronic patient management system ensuring data quality and integrity is maintained.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as community dental agency representatives and referring clinicians to ensure accuracy in client information and eligibility.
  • Liaise with Medicare to ensure correct and current claiming processes are undertaken.

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of customer / client care processes and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport foster trust and maintain respectful relationships within the workplace.
  • Knowledge of client management systems e.g. Titanium.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience in managing a diverse customer and/or patient base via phone and email with a focus on building positive relationships.
  • Experience in handling and resolving client concerns or complaints confidently in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication experience and the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
