Earlham College invites applicants for a fulltime tenuretrack position in the Department of Business at the rank of Assistant Professor of Marketing. The responsibilities of the position of Assistant Professor of Marketing are to 1) Prepare and teach postsecondary introductory and upper level classroom courses in the theory and practice of Marketing and other related interdisciplinary program courses focused on Marketing in the Earlham College Department of Business the Assistant Professor of Marketing will be assigned to teach any of the following courses: BUS 222 International Marketing (3Credit Hours); BUS 309 Consumer Behavior (3 Credit Hours); BUS 310 Marketing Strategy (3 Credit Hours); BUS 354 Entrepreneurial Marketing (3 Credit Hours); BUS 361 Social Media and Marketing (3Credit Hours); BUS 368 Business Communication; and BUS 354 Entrepreneurial Marketing; 2) Evaluate and grade postsecondary students class work assignments and papers while maintaining student attendance records grades and other required records as well as maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students; 3) Lead and conduct scholarly research and publication in regard to Marketing as well as conduct other interdisciplinary research publication and field studies focused on Marketing within the Earlham College Department of Business; and 4) Participate in Earlham College governance by participating in faculty committee work and meetings as well as providing input on matters relating to curriculum development and the learning environment.
The position of Assistant Professor of Marketing requires a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) or All But Dissertation (ABD) in Marketing or a similarly related field.
