As a Software Engineer I this is likely your first fulltime Engineering role. You are someone looking to take what youve learned in your academic career and gain some real world experience. Your team will be primarily responsible for building and maintaining TCGplayers PointofSale product with an emphasis on facilitating the transaction with the customer. You will be uplifting legacy applications into a microservice based architecture using the latest and greatest technologies. You will work closely with other development teams to bring a cohesive and intuitive selling experience to our customers across TCGplayers suite of tools. Due to the criticality of pointofsale software to a sellers business you are someone who places extra rigor on software quality security observability and more. What you will accomplish:
Build a bestinclass Point Of Sale system for Local Game Stores used by thousands of customers domestically and internationally allowing them to profitably grow their business in an omnichannel environment
You will assist in writing testing and debugging code under the guidance of more experienced engineers.
You will actively engage in learning opportunities to improve technical skills and understanding of software development processes.
You will seek feedback and mentorship from senior team members to enhance professional development.
You will learn to identify and understand problems proposing simple solutions where applicable and assist in troubleshooting and application support.
What you will bring:
Relevant Bachelors Degree or 5 years of practical experience.
Familiarity with the programming language C#
Familiarity of RDBMS technologies (SQL Server PostgreSQL) and familiarity of NoSQL stores (Redis MongoDB Elasticsearch)
Familiarity with development tools and environments such as version control systems (e.g. Git).
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication leadership and collaboration skills
