Job Description
This is a great and rare opportunity to join an iconic and highly successful Mildura transport and logistics business working in our StateoftheArt workshop as part of the wider workshop maintenance Freight Group (GTS) consisting of GTS Freight Management G1 Logistics and G1 Refrigerated Logistics is a privately owned market leader in linehaul transport and logistics solutions servicing a range of bluechip companies nationally. The group has a fleet of 100 prime movers over 500 trailers and 35000 sqm of warehousing. GTS has a strong reputation in the transport industry due to its focus on customer service safety and compliance.
A fulltime position has now become available for an experienced Truck Mechanic within our stateofart workshop. To be effective in this role you must have excellent time management and organisational skills and a background in Truck Mechanical / Technical Services.
Key responsibilities and duties will include but are not limited to:
- power and drive trains
- electrical
- airconditioning
- fuel
- emission
- brake
- steering
- hydraulics
To be considered for this role you must have:
- 3 years previous experience within the industry.
- Customer Satisfaction.
- Communication skills.
- Must be able to work unsupervised at times and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional service and communication skills both verbal and written along with computer skills.
- The ability to work in a team & multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Have an honest and efficient work ethics.
- Mechanical knowledge.
Essential qualifications
- Diesel Motor Mechanic.
- Certificate IV in Diesel Mechanical
- Certificate III Automotive Diesel Engine Technology
- Certificate IV in Automotive.
