Job Description
1. Role description:
We are looking for a Resident Engineer (Structures) for a project in Cape Town.
The primary responsibility will be tooversee and manage structural aspects of the construction of a large building complex in Cape Town.
The typical responsibilities will be to ensure adherence to design drawings specifications safety standards and project timelines as well as acting as the main point of contact between the construction team and stakeholders.
2. Personal attributes:
- The successful candidate would have excellent record keeping and QAexperience and have soundinterpersonal skills to liaise with and support an officebased design team.
3. Candidate specifications:
The following specifications apply:
- Minimum academic qualification BTech in Structural Engineering or related
- Minimum professional registration Pr Tech Eng
- Minimum of eightyears post registration experience is required
- Minimum of eightyears site experience on a fulltime basis on commercial buildings with reinforced concrete and structural steel is essential
- Fully conversant with MS Office 365 and related Microsoft collaboration tools
- Experience with AutoCAD Revit and MS Project would be considered advantageous
