Job Description
BASIS Medical Center Campus is seeking a K5th Grade Teaching Fellow to join our bright passionate teaching team!
The Teaching Fellow (Assistant Teacher) position is designed to provide handson experience in the classroom while preparing individuals for a fulltime teaching role or other leadership opportunities within BASIS Charter Schools. This role offers direct exposure to the BASIS Charter School model and curriculum equipping fellows with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an academic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide small group instruction to reinforce learning and support differentiated instruction.
- Step in as a substitute teacher as needed ensuring continuity in student learning.
- Assist lead teachers in classroom management lesson implementation and student engagement.
- Maintain a strong presence in all areas of school life actively contributing to a positive achievementoriented school culture.
- Support student wellbeing by assisting with tasks and responsibilities that enhance their educational experience.
- Receive atbats for instructionmultiple opportunities to lead lessons and refine teaching techniques.
- Serve as a key part of the internal talent bench developing the skills and experience needed for potential future teaching roles.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree is required
- Eligible for hire in Texas Public Schools
