Hiire is helping Condukt a wellfunded UKbased startup hire a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for their new office in Porto.

Our customer is a business identity platform that enables the onboarding of businesses of any size easily and instantly. Our products create a trust for financial service providers (our customers) to seamlessly verify onboard and monitor businesses (their clients).
Position Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team. You will be a shaper of the design and architecture of the core platform and work closely with the founding team to deliver value to our clients.
As an earlystage startup we pride ourselves on our ability to roll up our sleeves and build from scratch. We will be shipping code frequently and learning as we go while satisfying all critical security performance and uptime requirements for our clients.
We all love to build scale and grow. Our leadership team has experience building products scaling teams and optimizing for growth while working with ambitious engineers from tech unicorns.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize database performance scalability and availability
- Manage Compute Engine Cloud Storage and Cloud Networking to support high
performance workloads - Implement Incident Response & Reliability Engineering best practices to maintain
uptime and mitigate risks - Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline infrastructure operations
- Use Terraform CloudFormation or similar tools to manage infrastructure efficiently
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker Kubernetes or similar
technologies - Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment
- Leverage Cloud Run and other serverless technologies to enhance performance and scalability
Qualifications
- Effective and selfdriven builder
- Proven track record (5 years) building and owning a complete endtoend
technology stack (Backend CI/CD Logging Monitoring Alerting) - 3 years of handon Python experience in production environments
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and container orchestration including Helm or
Kustomize integration for ArgoCD - Familiarity with Terraform
- Skilled in designing and implementing customerfacing REST APIs and
asynchronous architectures (e.g. queues pub/sub lambdas webhooks) - Strong expertise in relational database modeling using PostgreSQL in production
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Wellversed in DevOps best practices such as DevOps and CI/CD
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile
environment - Work authorization in Portugal
