Job Description:
We are looking for a technically skilled and selfdriven System Administrator with strong expertise in Linux environments and the ability to troubleshoot in Windows systems where needed. You will work in a cuttingedge technology environment supporting the development of flight simulators used for both pilot training and strategic demonstrations. This is a key technical role where system reliability performance and stability are paramount.
As the sole system administrator in the team you will have primary responsibility for the operation maintenance and ongoing development of the system environment. While the core technology stack is Linuxbased some interfaces and tools run on Windows requiring occasional troubleshooting in Windows environments to support user experience and resolve clientside issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration operation and troubleshooting of Linux systems (Red Hat or similar)
- Configuration and maintenance of Ansiblebased deployment environments
- Network management including IP planning and implementing security policies
- Firewall configuration and general IT security maintenance
- Packaging and creation of installation media for Linux systems
- Troubleshooting Windowsbased simulator interfaces and user environments
- Providing technical support to development teamsboth proactive and reactive
- Occasional daytime travel within Sweden
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration or IT operations
- Strong skills in Linux systems ideally Red Hatbased
- Handson experience with Ansible and automation
- Understanding of network security and firewall configuration
- Ability to troubleshoot Windows environments (user interface and client issues)
- Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Valid category B driving license
- Experience with Active Directory and Windows integration
- Familiarity with container platforms (e.g. OpenShift)
- Experience with ticketing systems like Jira
