Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with musculoskeletal issues.
- Diagnose orthopedic conditions through physical exams and diagnostic tests.
- Design effective treatment plans tailored to each patients needs.
- Perform a variety of surgical procedures including joint replacements and fractures.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative care for patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in patient management.
- Educate patients on treatment options rehabilitation and preventive measures.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress through followup appointments.
- Develop and implement evidencebased surgical techniques.
- Ensure compliance with medical guidelines and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
- Communicate with patients and families about procedures and outcomes.
- Engage in research initiatives to enhance orthopedic practices.
- Contribute to departmental policies and quality improvement strategies.
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency in orthopedic surgery.
- Board certification in orthopedic surgery.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon.
- Excellent surgical skills with a focus on precision.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy and pathology.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Proven leadership abilities in a clinical setting.
- Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state.
- Involvement in community health initiatives preferred.
- Research experience in orthopedic surgery is an advantage.
