Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring Staff Nurse (Cardiac and Acute Care Unit) into a Private Hospital in Galway Ireland.
Full Time 37.5 Hours per Week
Responsibilities
- Practice within policies and procedures legal requirements guidelines and standards as directed by the Nursing Department and NMBI. Be familiar with and practice within all policies procedures and standards set out by the hospital.
- Staff nurses are responsible for providing a high standard of nursing care to patients
- Application of the nursing process and the scientific knowledge judgement and technical skills of professional nursing in delivering care to patient population of paediatric through to the elderly
- Report verbally and in writing pertinent patient care information to appropriate nursing/medical staff and other clinical staff. Ensure all handover reports and escalations are carried out using approved ISBAR handover tool.
- Maintain own education records and participate in ongoing professional development/education.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of resources always.
- Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as required by the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Requirements
- Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
- Coronary or intensive Care Qualification is desirable but not essential
- Minimum of 3 years post registration experience essential
- Experience in ICU / CCU or HDU setting desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Appropriate clinical skills with evidence of continuing professional development
- Flexible approach to work patterns.
- Be Registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by An Bord Altranais or be entitled to be registered.
- Have 3 years nursing experience postregistration preferably in acute medical/surgical areas.
