In this role you will be responsible for performing all forwardfacing work with the public including scheduling hearings typing decisions and responding to all related correspondence to support our Referees. You will perform highly detailoriented work transcribing recorded dictation of decisions from referees and preparing final decisions as well as conducting legal research and inputting appropriate data into our automated appeals tracking system to ensure timely and accurate disposition of appeals. Our team will also rely on you to handle telephone calls emails and inperson visitors seeking information about substantive or procedural matters and provide appropriate and tactful responses.
Your responsibilities for hearings will involve reviewing and organizing case files based on the issue of law involved in each hearing; arranging hearing schedules to accommodate multiple variables such as interpreter needs multiple dockets complicated issues or attorney representation with timely notification to all parties; and handling specific details unique to both inperson and telephone hearings. Your role will be integral to maintaining a smooth workflow decreasing the time each claimant waits for their voice to be heard and ensuring that all processes are carried out in accordance with legal requirements and agency standards.
