Summary
Morgan & Morgan P.A. is seeking an Associate Attorney within our Personal Injury litigation department in our Tampa area offices. The ideal candidate will be an experienced detailoriented individual who will work closely with our talented Trial Attorneys providing support before suit during litigation and through trials. Learn and develop your litigation skills working alongside worldclass litigators that are looking to mentor. Responsibilities
- Provide legal support to both clients and attorneys with primary focus on automobile accident matters throughout the Tampa area
- Daytoday handling of litigation tasks at the direction of and with support from senior attorneys
- Maintain strong client relationships while guiding clients through the lifecycle of their case
- Legal research and writing
- Drafting and filing of litigation legal documents
- Preparation for and attendance at trials depositions mediations hearings and other court appearances
- Interact with expert witnesses to include conferences drafting of expert reports and affidavit
- Participate in settlement negotiations
Requirements
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school
- An active member in good standing with the Florida Bar Association
- 2 years of plaintiff personal injury experience preferred
- Ability to manage high volume of litigation files
- Ability to work with staff including case managers and shared service teams who support case development.
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Selfstarter driven by longterm career goals
- Management of case staff experience
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
This role reports to a seniorlevel trial attorney.
