Summary: The planner is responsible for developing and managing maintenance plans ensuring efficient operation of equipment and facilities and optimizing maintenance resources.
Essential Functions: Create maintenance schedules and work orders coordinating maintenance staff and other departments to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Estimate labor and parts costs for equipment and repairs Maintain parts inventory and order as needed Create procedural manuals that detail standardized work Prioritize work orders based on costs available resources and asset criticality. Coordinate maintenance staff contractors and vendors. Maintain records files for maintenance department management and record keeping requirements. Act as a liaison between maintenance and operations. Work independently and provide direction to others. Recognize opportunities for process improvements. Effective communication and organization skills Clear understanding of preventative maintenance techniques. Above average computer skills
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Excel; specifically creating charts graphs and formulas
