Job Description

Please note that this is a permanent position and we do not offer freelance/contract arrangement for the role.
As a Mainframe Storage Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and secure storage management within our z/OS environment!
Role Overview
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage and optimize storage resources within the z/OS environment.
- Analyze storage requirements and plan for future needs.
- Implement robust backup and recovery strategies.
- Finetune storage configurations for optimal performance.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with security protocols.
- Work closely with other Mainframe Engineers and IT teams.
Technical Requirements
We are seeking candidates with the following skills and knowledge:
- Extensive experience in the Mainframe environment.
- Proficiency in storage administration including capacity planning and backup strategies.
- Familiarity with z/OS storage components.
- Understanding of storage security protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot storagerelated incidents.
NicetoHave Skills
While not mandatory the following skills would be advantageous:
- Familiarity with cloudbased storage solutions.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. REXX Python).
Soft Skills
In addition to your technical expertise we value the following soft skills:
- Collaborative attitude and ability to work optimally within a team.
- Strong analytical skills for storage optimization.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Eagerness to document processes and contribute to knowledge sharing.
Work outside of business hours is sometimes required as launches in production are generally carried out after 5PM or on Saturday as well as watch duty during nights and weekends.
