Position Title:2025 Aloha Foundation Photographer

Position Type: Seasonal

Reports to: Director of Communications

Location: All Aloha Foundation Camps


The mission of the Aloha Foundation is to inspire people of all ages to learn explore grow and become their best selves.


Position Summary
The Aloha Foundation Photographer works across the organizations 5 summer programsthree
overnight camps (Hive Aloha and Lanakila) one day camp (Horizons) and one family camp
(Ohana)to create a portfolio of photos for publications website marketing initiatives
fundraising appeals parent and camper communications and social media. The Foundation
Photographer also works closely with 34 campbased photographers. This position reports to the
Communications team for photography work and liaises a Camp Director for community
responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities
Over the course of the summer compile a reserved portfolio of about 1500 photos for
Communications use for Aloha Hive Lanakila Horizons and Ohana in the offseason.
Beginning in precamp manage and serve as the key resource for 34 camp
photographers.
Ensure computers are set up with software drivers and storage for incoming camp
photographers.
Coordinate and catalogue uploads of a total of 600 photos/week by 34 camp
photographers 30 photos/day 5 days/week).
Organize and keyword all images as needed so that they are easy to sort through assign
and archive.
Manage and troubleshoot Tues/Fri uploads of 50 photos each from 4 camps into online
passwordprotected photo albums 400 photos/week total 2800/season total).
Manage and prioritize schedule by compiling special events calendars from all 3
residential camps and identifying key moments to capture.
Oversee 125 Hive Aloha and Lanakila tent family photos during beginning of camp.
Create slideshows with music for fall open houses.
Curate folders of 3050 images for targeted use in marketing and communications.


Compensation
This is a seasonal contract. Salary is based on experience. This job can be structured as hybrid
(commuting daily) mostly inperson with occasional remote work or fully onsite with provided
meals and rustic housing at camp.
Education/Experience Level
Experience in photography design art or mediarelated field. 3 years of digital photography
experience preferred. The Foundation Photographer should demonstrate competence on an iMac
and the ability to edit photos using Adobe Lightroom and iMovie for slideshow making. The job
requires a highly organized professional who manages their time effectively and is successful
working independently.


Schedule/Transportation
This is a fulltime seasonal position 9 weeks) beginning in June. Reliable transportation is
required. The role requires daytime work plus some evening and weekend hours. The
Photographer will have one day off per week; this could be flexible based on the master schedule
prepared by the camps. Additional details will be discussed with the candidate.
