About the Position
The Saint Paul Fire Department is looking for a knowledgeable Fire Buildings Repairer to join our team.
Heres what you can expect to do:- Performs preventive maintenance and repair work of building structures heating/air conditioning/plumbing systems equipment machinery appliances furniture and fixtures.
- Fabricates equipment parts from raw stock such as special sheet metal ducts metal frames racks and shelving signs cabinets tools equipment boxes and training equipment.
- Performs custodial duties to clean the Maintenance Shop and operates snow blowers and lawn mowers to maintain facilities.

Must possess a Special Engineer Boiler License.
Two years of experience in the construction maintenance or repair of building structures and mechanical equipment.
Must possess a Type I and II Refrigeration Technician Certification approved by the Environmental Protection Agency within six months of the date of appointment
Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Drivers License or equivalent outofstate drivers license.
