Shared Imaging is currently looking to hire a Part Time Paramedic in our Houston TX area.

Work Schedule:

• Monday Friday work schedule based on your availability
• No weekends evenings or oncall
• Typical schedule is 8am to 4:30pm
• Coverage will be the Houston area covering at Kelsey Seybold sites we will keep you close to your home residency

The ideal candidate must possess:

• High school graduate or GED
• State EMT license
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Ability to start IVs
• Work effectively with a variety of professional and ancillary personnel.
• Critical care experience is preferred.
• Selfstarter with the ability to multitask
• Hard working detail oriented and committed to outstanding patient care
• Team player with a positive attitude

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

The overall goal of the Paramedic is to provide optimum patient care utilizing nursing process. They will assess identify needs plan implement appropriate interventions document and evaluate outcome.

Clinical Duties:

• Be competent to care for all types of patients in Radiology with a high degree of knowledge and skill.
• Identify patient health related problems and risk status and develop nursing care plan.
• Assist other Radiology staff in assessment diagnosis care planning and evaluation of outcomes.
• Give individualized care evaluate effectiveness of care and recognize significant changes in patient conditions.

• Collaborate with patients and members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient Act as a resource to other RNs PCUTs RTs and other health care providers.
• Involve patient and family with discharge planning and meet identified needs through teaching or agency referrals.
• Identify and offer solutions to patient care delivery issues through quality improvement continuing education research and peer review activities.

Quality Improvement Duties:

• Establish relevant and safe priorities when giving patient care including administration of medications.
• Act as a liaison between Radiology & Nursing units.
• Participate in the development and evaluation of patient care related policies and procedures in Radiology.

Communication Duties:

• Take report from previous caregivers and take appropriate action when indicated.
• Document patient status and care given.
• Utilize verbal and written communications with physicians technologists and nursing units regarding patient status treatment and outcome.
• Assist when needed with proper procurement of consent forms.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
