Position Summary: Our Truck Driver is responsible for operating a truck with a capacity exceeding 3 tons to transport materials between company locations or to and from customer and supplier facilities. This role requires adherence to commercial driving regulations and the safe handling of materials including inspecting loading and unloading cargo. Key Responsibilities: - Drive heavy trucks to assigned destinations using knowledge of roadways and commercial driving regulations.
- Prepare receipts for materials picked up or delivered and collect payments when applicable.
- Verify packing lists against purchase orders to confirm shipment accuracy.
- Receive and process packing slips for incoming materials through Shipping.
- Perform basic emergency vehicle repairs such as changing tires installing lights or tire chains.
- Maintain a driver log in accordance with state and federal transportation regulations.
- Maintain contact with supervisor via telephone or radio to receive delivery instructions.
- Load and unload truck as required.
- Conduct pretrip inspections on truck equipment and fluid levels (e.g. tires lights brakes gas oil water).
- Secure cargo using blocks ropes or other restraints to ensure safety during transit.
- Perform other customerdriven or productdriven duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

- Knowledge of basic truck maintenance and inspection procedures
- Strong distance judgment and depth perception
- Good verbal communication and accountability in handling documentation
- Punctuality and reliability in delivery and pickup assignments
Licensing Requirements: - Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) required (for heavy truck not pickup)
Physical Requirements: - Good vision and hearing
- Medium lifting required (3050 lbs)
- Physical coordination for loading securing and unloading cargo
