Process monthend balance sheet and P&L journal entries within the established closing process such as accrued liabilities royalty accruals payroll related accruals including bonus and vacation accruals and accounting provisions such as inventory obsolescence sales accruals fixed asset & intangible impairments ensuring conformity to IFRS and the Groups financial manual.
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis including investigating discrepancies and managing any issues.
Perform P&L analysis comparing results to budget and analyzing cost fluctuations from month to month and year to year.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyse data interpret results and improve processes and accounting estimates.
Participate in the design of the new bank reconciliation process and banking information interfaces with the different ERP.
Perform daily bank reconciliations in Microsoft D365
Coordinate the Foreign currency hedging process in respect of the Group policy.
Administrate the bank platform and users access rights coordinate the bank technical relationship.
Coordinate with various teams on monthend cash pooling cash forecasting and other ad hoc treasury reporting.
Participate in the yearly internal control assessment process (Air Liquide 30 core Controls)
Develop recommendations coconstruct remediation/action plans and monitor their implementation.
Contribute and support various finance process improvements by building efficiencies through automation or streamlining of processes in conjunction with the Finance Manager.
Heres what you will need
Bachelors Degree in Commerce/Accounting
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
Accounting Designation or close to completion (Canadian CPA/CA/CMA/CGA)
Strong understanding of IFRS
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Advanced Google sheet skills) and/or Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Dynamics 365 knowledge is an asset.
Good understanding of income tax and sales tax regulations.
Experience with intercompany transactions among several legal entities
Experience with ERP system conversion & integration is an asset
