Position: Allied Health Assistant
Location: Glenroy and Coburg Locations
Position Type: Permanent Part Time
Team: Support diverse allied health teams delivering care across home clinic and community settings.

Your new role:
As an Allied Health Assistant you will support both the Independent Living and Specialist Aged Services teams at Holstep Health.
This role involves delivering clientcentred care under the supervision of allied health professionals. Youll assist with individual and groupbased interventions across a range of settingsincluding Holstep Health sites community venues and clients homes.
This dynamic role involves both clinical and administrative tasks requiring flexibility to work across various allied health disciplines. Competencybased training will be provided to support your success in the role.
You will be responsible for:
As an Allied Health Assistant you will:
Deliver functional training mobility programs and home exercise support under supervision.
Assist with group programs (land and waterbased) and support clients with mobility equipment and aids.
Provide support to the occupational therapy team through equipment delivery and training
Provide admin and clerical support to maximise clinical efficiency.
Supervise AHA students and support multidisciplinary student placements.
Maintain a safe inclusive environment and comply with all quality safety and risk procedures.
Actively engage in professional development and contribute to a positive teambased culture.
To succeed in this role you will have:
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.
Understanding of clientcentred care and community health principles.
Excellent communication time management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to relate effectively to a diverse client group including people with dementia.
Capacity to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong computer literacy and administrative skills.
Experience in the allied health and/or community health sector
Willingness to develop and grow within the Allied Health Assistant role.
