Position Summary
Concordia University Wisconsin Ann Arbor (CUWAA) invites applications for the position of Dean of the School of Nursing. The successful candidate will lead the School of Nursing and oversee undergraduate and graduate academic programs offered at the universitys residential campuses in Mequon WI Ann Arbor MI and online. This position reports directly to the Vice President for Academics and is located in Mequon WI.
The Concordia University School of Nursing offers programs at the bachelors masters and doctoral levels as well as several nursing certificates. The School recently received its 10year reaccreditation from the CCNE for all programs with no citations. All programs have strong licensing exam pass rates well above national averages.
As executive leader of the School of Nursing the Dean will articulate a clear academic vision appropriate to a Lutheran liberal arts university with numerous professional academic programs. He or she will confidently demonstrate and communicate the value of a nursing education grounded in Christian faith and Lutheran identity to internal and external constituents. The Dean should possess a proven record of strategic leadership and program management including oversight of operational budgets and personnel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates shall be prepared to develop robust external relationships through fundraising community outreach and service to benefit the School.
