Job Description
- Lead develop and support a team of at least two Buyers.
- Lead supplier sourcing and negotiations for Military components
- Implement supplier agreements as required.
- Perform Make vs. Buy analysis.
- Actively participate/lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- Measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure continued success towards local and corporate goals Purchase price Variance (PPV) Supplier OnTime Delivery (OTD) Freight Spend
- Second source critical suppliers for make components.
- Track commodity trends and interface with Military Sales team to ensure costs align to support expected margin for contracts.
- Manage safety stock leadtimes MOQs for assigned locations.
- Support the Corporate SIOP process as required.
- Support ISO 9001& AS9100 audits
- Travel is required with this position.
- U.S. Citizen is required; this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Purchasing Engineering Accounting Business Management or related field. MBA is preferred.
- 5 years supervisory experience required Supply Chain or Purchasing
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & AS9100 is required.
- ERP/MRP experience (i.e. Made2Manage Microsoft Dynamics SAP Oracle)
- DFARS/FAR experience
- Government sourcing contract experience
- Experience in machined parts sheet metal cable and connectors
- Superior Negotiation Experience
- MS Suite: Word PowerPoint Excel and Power BI
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving
- Experienced Supply Chain strategy supplier relationships project management contracts and cost reductions
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Process oriented highlevel sense of urgency
- Good business sense and capability to develop a vision and/or strategy.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to guide and motivate work teams in meeting department and company goals and objectives.
- Ability to be adaptable & flexible to changing workplace priorities.
- Other tasks as required
