You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe University of Washingtons Department of Rehabilitation Medicine Division of Physiatry is offering an outstanding opportunity for an SCI Physiatrist to join our faculty. This will be a fulltime academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor WOT (without tenure due to source of funding which is typical of ranked faculty appointments within the department). Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for multiyear appointments that align with a 12month service period (July 1June 30). Faculty with 12month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12month period (JulyJune) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
Anticipated start date is Fall 2025 but other dates may be considered.

As a member of the Division of Physiatry the successful candidate will participate in research teaching/scholarship and clinical activity and will be expected to fulfill requirements for advancement along the ClinicianScientist pathway of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine University of Washington School of Medicine. Clinical responsibilities will include working on the inpatient consult service and outpatient rehabilitation clinic at Harborview Medical Center with an emphasis on caring for patients with spinal cord injury. There also will be opportunity to serve as attending on the inpatient unit at Harborview Medical Center and/or to see patients at the University of Washington Medical Center as needed. Responsibilities also will include working as part of the Northwest Regional Spinal Cord Injury System with responsibilities for coordinating SCI forums annual wellness summit a peer support program and other dissemination activities. The successful candidate will have opportunity to collaborate with existing research teams as well as to develop their own research portfolio. There will be opportunity to participate in the teaching of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residents/fellows and other students staff or faculty. The majority of this teaching may take place as part of clinical supervision or didactic sessions.

The base salary range for this position will be $15000 $20194 per month ($180000 $247175 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice planin addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position may include any of the following if applicable: incentive through UW Physicians (UWP) moving allowance relocation incentive administrative supplements for leadership roles that may later be attached to the position.
