Job Description

Location: Christel House Indianapolis
Job Type: FullTime / Hourly


Christel House Academy is seeking an IT Support & Documentation Assistant to deliver frontline IT support and help build clear userfriendly documentation for technology systems used across the school. This entrylevel role is ideal for someone detailoriented techsavvy and interested in both handson troubleshooting and content creation. The role is evenly split between technical support and documentation.


Christel House Indianapolis is currently seeking an IT Support & Documentation Assistant.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

IT Support (50%)

  • Provide full Tier 1 technical support for staff and students including password resets device troubleshooting (Windows ChromeOS) and general break/fix issues.
  • Respond to support requests via help desk system email and inperson communication
  • Assist with staff onboarding by preparing devices setting up user accounts and ensuring access to necessary platforms.
  • Track update and resolve support tickets efficiently escalating issues when needed.

Documentation & Knowledge Management (50%)

  • Create and maintain internal documentation (troubleshooting guides workflows and howto materials) and build an IT knowledge base to support staff selfservice and streamline IT support processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure documentation reflects current systems and processes.
  • Develop and deliver training content (written or video) and group instruction focused on IT systems and platforms.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

Required:

  • Strong written communication with attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain technical topics in clear userfriendly language.
  • Familiarity with Windows ChromeOS and Google Workspace.
  • Organized proactive and eager to grow in both support and documentation roles.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a help desk school IT or educational tech support role.
  • Familiarity with documentation tools or platforms (e.g. Google Sites Slite).
  • Exposure to K12 education environments and technology needs.

Working Condition

  • Light lifting (e.g. laptops monitors) may be required.
  • Occasional afterhours work during key periods (e.g. backtoschool setup).
