The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RIMUHC) is a worldrenowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Introduction
Research in the Duque lab focuses on geroscience and musculoskeletal aging translational research. Our goal is to uncover biological mechanisms underlying musculoskeletal decline with aging and to develop innovative interventions to promote healthy aging and longevity. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the intersection of basic and clinical research leveraging cuttingedge approaches in molecular biology bioinformatics biomarkers and regenerative medicine. We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our research team.
Responsabilities and Objectives
Conduct independent and collaborative research focusing on cellular senescence inflammation metabolism and tissue regeneration
Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments using advanced molecular and cellular techniques
Analyze and interpret data from preclinical models and human samples to identify potential therapeutic targets
Publish research findings in highimpact peerreviewed journals and present at scientific conferences
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students as needed.
Strong background in musculoskeletal biology aging research or regenerative medicine
Experience with cellular and molecular techniques including cell culture omics approaches and imaging methods
Proficiency in data analysis statistical methods and bioinformatics tools is desirable
Excellent scientific writing and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred:
Experience with animal models of aging and musculoskeletal disorders
Knowledge of senotherapeutic strategies or pharmacological interventions for agingrelated diseases
Previous involvement in translational research or industry collaborations.

A Postdoctoral fellow is a fulltime student currently enrolled in a Canadian University program. The individual must have recently been awarded (within 5 years) a PhD or equivalent. The Postdoctoral fellow will receive a stipend or a bursary from a professors grant for research activities that will be performed on a fulltime basis. All benefits are administered by the University under which they are registered.
