POSITION OVERVIEW:
The client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Los Angeles and San Diego. This role is critical in managing and leading largescale Type I structural projects across various sectors including commercial healthcare education residential hospitality and aviation.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and BIM designers managing project schedules and budgets and collaborating with architects contractors and consultants. This role offers significant opportunities for career growth including a partnership track.
MustHave Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience (as close as possible).
SE License: Required.
Education: Masters degree or higher in Structural Engineering (U.S. university required).
Technical Expertise:
Experience in Type I construction (steel and concrete structures).
Experience with groundup construction 6070 and renovations 3040.
Familiarity with Mission Critical Facilities.
Proven ability to manage largescale structural projects.
Leadership & Client Management:
Ability to act as a strong decisive leader and manage a team of engineers and designers.
Demonstrated track record of delivering successful projects and maintaining client relationships.
NicetoHave Qualifications:
Experience working with DSA and HCAI/OSHPD.
Experience in seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings using ASCE 41.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion.
Supervise project teams (engineers BIM designers) and ensure successful project .
Work closely with architects contractors and clients to deliver costeffective innovative
solutions.
Ensure compliance with building codes seismic regulations and industry standards.
Conduct technical design and detailing for largescale structures.
Oversee project scheduling budgeting and resource allocation.
Maintain strong client relationships and actively pursue new business opportunities.
