Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of supplier development and procurement for:

  • PCB production equipment

  • Spare parts and consumables

  • Evaluate suppliers technical capabilities based on PCB manufacturing knowledge (e.g. drilling imaging plating etching solder mask surface finishing)

  • Monitor market trends for PCB equipment (e.g. exposure machines drilling machines testing machines) to inform sourcing strategies

  • Lead technical negotiations and conduct cost analyses for:

  • Equipment procurement

  • Key materials such as copper foil and PP prepreg sheets

  • Establish and manage a qualified supplier system with a focus on cost control and alternative sourcing solutions

Requirements

  • Diploma or higher in:

  • Electronic Materials

  • Mechanical Automation

  • Supply Chain Management

  • Or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience specifically in the PCB industry

  • Expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • Technical specifications of PCB production equipment (e.g. electroless copper plating lines laminators AOI inspection machines)

  • Raw material properties for special PCB processes (e.g. HDI FPC highfrequency boards)

  • PCB processing cost structures and the impact of design factors (e.g. layer count hole size copper thickness) on pricing

  • Familiarity with IPC standards and PCB quality systems (e.g. UL certification ISO 9001
