About:Lyngblomsten a 225bed Care Center located in Saint Paul near Como Park is in search of part time Trained Medication Aides!
The posted pay range of this hourly position is$22.40 to $ actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors such as FTE skills knowledge relevant education experience and market conditions. Additionally our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
Responsibilities:
- Administersmedications consistently and accurately under the delegation and supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Performs other treatments and procedures for example vital signs obtaining oxygen saturation blood sugar readings oxygen setup etc. after proving competence.
- Counts controlled substances with a licensed nurse.
- Reorders medications as needed according to the pharmacy procedure.
- Communicating with care and concern toward the resident as an individual of dignity worthy of respect seeks to spend social time with residents assigned to his/her care.
- Observation of residents condition and communicating changes to nurse.
- Attending to various resident needs.
- Participates in resident care conferences as requested follows care plans when caring for residents.
Qualifications:
- Registered on the Nursing Assistant Registry in an active status.
- Holds a certificate of completion of a sanctioned TMA training course.
- Able to recognize the limitations of the TMA role maintain standards of practice with the scope of the role and take direction from the licensed nurse and Neighborhood Coordinator.
- Demonstrates an ability and sincere desire to work with the geriatric resident by showing a sense of responsibility moral integrity and common sense.
- Must be able to understand and follow oral and/or written directions.
