As a Field Construction Technician Lead at CellularOne you will embrace the adventure of working outdoors where no day is ever the same! This thrilling position involves climbing various types of towers tackling roofs and navigating confined spaces while facing the elements headon. Whether its extreme cold scorching heat heavy rain or even snow youll thrive in dynamic weather conditions demonstrating your resilience and adaptability.
Your role will demand physical prowess requiring you to reach climb kneel and balance while lifting and carrying materials of up to 100 pounds about 20% of the time. Manual dexterity is essential as youll be handling intricate tools and equipment alongside maintaining keen vision for both close and distant tasks. What matters most
To excel as a Field Construction Technician Lead at CellularOne a unique blend of skills and certifications is essential for navigating the thrilling telecommunications landscape. Candidates must have a completed High School diploma or GED equivalent alongside certifications in ComTrain tower climbing and rigging safety. With at least three years of tower climbing rigging and construction experience youll need to harness your expertise in line sweep and PIM testing as well as microwave alignment.
A good driving record and a strong ability to work in various climates are critical as you might face weeklong field outings and an oncall schedule. Strong communication and organizational skills will empower you to lead effectively in a construction setting while proficiency in Microsoft programs enables smooth project documentation and collaboration. Your capability to coordinate with industry professionals and implement project plans will set the foundation for success in this exciting role!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Two years of line sweep and PIM test (Anritzu) experience
- Two years of MW alignment and experience
- Must be able to work an oncall schedule in various climates and weeklong outings
- Must be physically and mentally able to climb various types of towers
- Must be Cellular One safety certified (CPR First Aid Driving Forklift)
- Must have good communication and organizational skills and ability to coordinate with other persons in the industry (Tower owners customers engineers etc.)
- Must have experience in heavy equipment operation
- Must have the ability to lead in the construction setting plus collect and prepare project close out documentation
- Must have the ability to understand and implement project plans (CDs data sheets etc.)
