Outside Sales Representative (Building & Construction PRODUCTS) Fridley MN

Intertek is searching for and enthusiastic candidate to join our Building & ConstructionProducts team at our Farmingdale New York test lab. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile sales career in the building products industry!

Interteks Building and Construction division is a suite of Intertek brands that are industry leaders across multiple architecture engineering and construction disciplines developing the most innovative product and project solutions. Interteks projectrelated assurance testing inspection and consulting services are the risk management and quality assurance partner you need to ensure the reliability safety and performance of your new developments existing assets and facilities.

What are we looking for

TheOutside Sales Representative is responsible for direct sales activity including increasing existing sales and identifying and developing new business opportunities. This is an outside sales position with the opportunity to sell Testing & Certification services to manufacturers and influencers in the Building Product space.

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $9295K annually plus commission. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set experience qualifications and other jobrelated reasons.

What youll do:

  • Receive incoming Customer inquiries and process opportunities
  • Sell Intertek B & C Products services within assigned territory through effective client research prospecting and networking.
  • Follow Up on All proposals
  • Conduct Prospecting activities. Both Cold calling and existing client connections
  • Use online CRM to track all individual sales activities quoting activity Orders won and Revenue generated
  • Work with Sales Management to define and develop territory to increase new and existing sales
  • Collaborate with Operational Sales personnel to manage Operating Unit and Territory Opportunities
  • Spend approximately 5075% outside interfacing with new and existing identified target clients
  • Meet with properctive customers via client presentations and participation at industry trade shows/events
  • Respond swiftly and courteously to customer requests
  • Collaboration with marketing department: Tradeshows association meetings client webinars white papers etc.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 35 years of relevant experience in Building and Construction Products industry
  • Business to business sales experience is preferred
  • Must be energized selfmotivated assertive and have ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and MS Office software and prior experience with sales CRM
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Physical dexterity/mobility to travel via car airplane train and to perform all clerical functions inherit to the position.
