We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in power electronics analog circuit design and PCB layout to join our Aerospace Engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing cuttingedge electrical systems for aerospace applications ensuring performance reliability and compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive the successful integration of electrical components in aerospace systems.
You will lead and collaborate with crossfunctional teams mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of advanced aerospace systems. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer with a passion for aerospace technology and a deep technical background in embedded systems and control theory.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design development and testing of power electronics circuits for aerospace applications including converters inverters and power management systems.
- Design and optimize analog circuits including amplifiers filters and signal conditioning circuits for highperformance applications.
- Develop and design PCB layouts for complex highdensity circuits focusing on EMI/EMC thermal management and manufacturability.
- Perform detailed simulations and analysis of power electronics and analog circuits to ensure performance meets design specifications.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including mechanical software and systems engineers to integrate electrical systems into larger aerospace platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical system issues including hardware failures design flaws and component selection challenges.
- Ensure that designs meet relevant aerospace and safety standards such as DO160/MILSTD461 and DO178/DO254.
- Contribute to the development of engineering documentation including design specifications test plans and technical reports.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in aerospace technology power electronics and analog design.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Aerospace Engineering related field or equivalent.
- 10 years of professional experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power electronics analog circuit design and PCB layout.
- Proven experience in the design simulation and testing of power electronics circuits and systems including DCDC converters power inverters and motor control systems.
- Extensive experience with analog circuit design including signal processing amplifiers and lownoise designs.
- Strong proficiency in PCB design and layout tools (e.g. Altium Designer Cadence or Eagle Altium Designer preferred) and experience in designing highperformance PCBs for power conversion applications.
- Solid understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) thermal management and signal integrity considerations in aerospace applications.
- Experience with aerospace standards and regulations (e.g. DO160/MILSTD461 and DO178/DO254).
- Ability to perform circuit simulations using tools such as PSpice LTSpice MATLAB or similar software.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel for work and field testing as required.
Compensation
- The anticipated compensation for this position is $135000$175000/yr depending on previous experience.
