The University of Nevada Las Vegas invites applications for Associate Director of Development Integrated Health Sciences Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement R0147261.
ROLE of the POSITION
The Associate Director of Development for the UNLV School of Integrated Health Sciences is a fundraising professional reporting directly to the AVP Development and Principal Gifts as well as the Dean of the School of Integrated Health Sciences. The Associate Director will be responsible for meeting individual and unit fundraising goals.
The goal of the Associate Director of Development is to advance the mission of the School by assisting in conceptualizing and implementing strategies to secure and increase financial support from alumni donors and prospects. This role emphasizes the identification of new prospective donors qualification of those prospects cultivation of new and existing relationships and successful solicitations of gifts at the leadership gift and major gift levels.
The Associate Director of Development will eventually be responsible for managing a donor portfolio of 100125 prospects with a philanthropic capacity to give $10000 or more to UNLV. The Associate Director will initiate and conduct 1215 visits per month for the purpose of determining philanthropic interests capacity and readiness. A large portion of the role is to identify and qualify prospects in addition to cultivation solicitation and stewardship.
The Associate Director will develop tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies and present written and oral proposals to donors. This position will solicit gifts directly working independently or with the AVP and other appropriate unit representatives to implement successful solicitation strategies. This position will help clarify and implement the units vision and priorities to support the shortterm and longterm fundraising goals. The Associate Director may be required to work evenings and/or weekends as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) with 2 to 3 years of experience in fundraising sales or related fields; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in higher education fundraising is preferred.
