Inviting applications for the role of Counsel EMEA Data Privacy Senior Manager English

We are looking for a talented Legal Privacy Counsel to join our global Legal Regulatory and Compliance team. This role is based within the European Legal Privacy and Compliance team in Romania. You will be joining a professional supportive and collaborative team that highly values teamwork and mutual respect. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in European privacy law and data protection including EU and UK GDPR and a proven track record of providing practical legal advice and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations

Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice on privacy and data protection laws including EU and UK GDPR ePrivacy Directive AI Act and other relevant regulations.

Develop implement and maintain privacy policies and procedures.

Conduct data privacy impact assessments and provide advice on privacy and data protection matters such as data subject rights privacy maturity assessments client audits and AI matters.

Advise on data breach response and manage incident investigations.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and various stakeholders to ensure privacy compliance in all business operations.

Draft and negotiate data processing agreements and other privacyrelated contracts.

Monitor and analyze changes in privacy laws and regulations and update company policies templates and contracts accordingly.

Conduct training and awareness programs on privacy and data protection for employees.

Represent the company in privacyrelated regulatory inquiries.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

Relevant years of experience in privacy and data protection law (inhouse/authorities/ law firm)

University graduate in Law (LLM) or equivalence

Indepth knowledge of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ePrivacy Directive AI Act and other local privacy laws and regulations.

Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English

Excellent drafting negotiation and written and oral communication skills.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced and international environment.

High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Preferred qualifications

Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) or equivalent certification.

Experience with OneTrust or similar privacy management tools.

Experience with working in a multinational corporation or law firm.

Familiarity with privacy issues in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence blockchain etc.

Ability to effectively manage multiple activities simultaneously in an efficient manner

Organizing skills and capacity to manage projects remotely (e.g. via emails calls etc.)
